Too often, offshore analysts are seen merely as number-crunchers when the truth is that they have far more to offer. When dealing with Frontline, you can put behind you the frustrations of dealing with mass market offshore services where analysts lack engagement and understanding. Local graduates can be a real burden to bring up to speed, draining time and eating up budgets. We have taken that to heart when it comes to recruiting and training: we only hire the brightest and best MSc, PhD and MBA graduates and put them through our unique training and coaching programme.

As a result, we have created teams of analysts that work exclusively and confidentially for our clients. They are high-quality chartered accountants and financial specialists, trained and mentored by European and US capital markets analysts with both buy-side and sell-side experience. This means they provide a level of service exactly as clients would receive from an elite European MBA analyst with two years’ experience.

They are highly-qualified City analysts trained to international standards technically and also proficient in the soft skills needed to add real value: opinion, judgement, communication and innovative thinking.

Our senior team


Darren founded Frontline Analysts in 2005 and is CEO. Previously he was a fixed income credit analyst for 11 years, focusing on European banks. He has a wide range of experience on trading floors and as a regulator. Darren was a director on WestLB’s fixed income credit research team from 2000 – 2005.

Before that Darren was a bank credit analyst at BNP Paribas group in Buenos Aires, where he executed the first peso CDS in Argentina, and previously at Société Générale in London, where he was the researcher on the last Euromoney Ffr bond of the year. Darren started his career in bond market regulation at the Bank of England in 1994 after reading PPE at Oxford and taking a Masters degree in Economics from Birmingham University.


Zafar has extensive experience of market and credit risk management gained over 25 years at prestigious investment banks, including RBS, Citigroup, Paribas Capital Markets, ABN Amro, Credit Suisse and Commerzbank. Zafar also has extensive experience of Internal Audit and Risk Review, covering controls around risk management as well as the review and validation of pricing and risk models. Zafar has a degree in Chemistry from Leeds University, and is a CIMA qualified accountant.


Derek has extensive experience as a credit analyst in the US and Europe, and as a research director. His previous roles include senior analyst responsibilities at JPMAM and Janus, which included internal credit reports on Investment grade, crossover and high yield companies. He also has extensive experience as a bond fund manager and a sell side analyst, including JPMAM (2007- 2011), Panmure Gordon (1999-2003) and JP Morgan (1999-2009). He has covered a wide range of industries in his 25+ year career as an analyst including most industrial, consumer, retail, services and telecom/media sectors. He qualified in the UK as an accountant, and has been a FINRA/NASD/NYSE/SFA registered representative, supervisory analyst and principal as required for his various roles.


Romita has over 12 years of experience in operations management and service delivery in the financial services industry. Her expertise lies in process management and compliance. She has led units of Citigroup and of Cognizant in Bangalore. Romita joined Frontline after a family-centred career break, as part of our policy supporting returners. She has a B.Com graduate from Delhi University with a diploma from IMT Ghaziabad.


Dan Davies is an experienced equity analyst in the Banks and Diversified Financials sectors, with over 20 years in the stock market. He has held posts as a Director at Lazard/Panmure Gordon, Credit Suisse and Exane BNP Paribas, among other top-tier firms. He was a member of teams which won the Extel Top Sector Team (all sectors) award and the Institutional Investor All- Europe Team (Banks). He regularly writes articles which appear in the Financial Times and other publications, as well as research strategy for Frontline Analysts. Before starting in equity analysis, he was a regulatory economist working at the Bank of England. Dan has been with Frontline since 2014 and is a graduate of Oxford University and the London Business School.


Sarah is an internationally acclaimed consultant and coach. Her mission is to take creative media businesses, financial institutions and individuals swiftly on their journey to critical and commercial success. Many successful international brands have used her skills to communicate more effectively and increase productivity whilst at the same time having more contented employees. She provides high level knowledge and experience to businesses, large and small, always ensuring that the process is rewarding for those she is working with as well as the client as a whole. She has worked in the financial sector both on screen working for global international financial broadcaster and within the banking sector.


Daljeet is responsible for the client journey, coordinating set up and engagement development to ensure that clients get the best possible service. He has over 20 years’ experience as a senior manager at a major blue-chip UK corporate covering marketing communications, sales management, portfolio management, business development, channel management, campaign management and new product launches. He has worked across all significant markets, Global B2B, UK B2B, UK Government, and UK Consumer. He graduated from City University, London with a degree in Business Studies & Marketing, and holds an advanced certification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
